SMA Launches Suppliers Forum To Enhance Collaboration For Emirati Entrepreneurs
The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has partnered with the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (RUWAD) for the first time. Together, they have launched the "Suppliers Forum: Entrepreneurs' Projects Exhibition" at the Sharjah Archaeology Museum. This event, which began today, will continue until 18th September. The exhibition was inaugurated by Aisha Rashid Deemas, Director-General of SMA, and Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of RUWAD and the Sharjah Economic Development Department.
The forum aims to foster innovation and competitiveness while supporting Emirati entrepreneurs. It offers national projects associated with RUWAD a chance to collaborate with SMA. This collaboration seeks to attract new suppliers and expand partnerships through competitive services and pricing options. Additionally, it aims to enhance community engagement with museums and deliver high-quality services.

Aisha Rashid Deemas highlighted that SMA draws inspiration from H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's directives. She stressed the importance of fostering an environment that encourages innovation and competitiveness among ambitious Emirati youth. This aligns with Sharjah's developmental vision and follows the Executive Council's directive that at least 10 percent of government purchases in the emirate be allocated to Foundation members.
Hamad Al Mahmoud stated, "The participation of RUWAD in the first exhibition for Entrepreneurship Projects, which is organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Museums Authority, comes within the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen effective partnerships with government entities in order to promote Sharjah’s position as an incubator for UAE projects."
He added that RUWAD is proud of its members' projects that support sustainable economic growth in Sharjah. These projects contribute by participating in exhibitions and conferences organised by government agencies, especially those related to entrepreneurship. The exhibition features 27 projects from RUWAD members across various sectors such as technical services, hospitality, events, office supplies, and more.
This gathering allows officials to learn about suppliers' work and explore future cooperation opportunities. It also reinforces collaboration between SMA and RUWAD-affiliated suppliers. Attendees include department heads, deputies, museum curators, financial representatives, and event coordinators.
The forum underscores joint efforts to support Emirati entrepreneurs through strategic partnerships. By providing a platform for collaboration between national projects affiliated with RUWAD and SMA, it aims to enhance competitiveness while delivering quality services.
