SIATT Expands Operations With New Headquarters And Production Facility In São José Dos Campos, Brazil
EDGE Group's entity, SIATT, has opened a new headquarters and production facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil. Covering 6,000 square metres, this site includes advanced engineering facilities, R&D labs, and production lines. This expansion enhances SIATT's capacity to deliver advanced defence technology and marks a significant boost in its industrial capabilities.
In September 2023, EDGE acquired a 50% stake in SIATT. This move aligns with EDGE's global strategy to invest in high-potential companies. The partnership has accelerated SIATT’s growth and export readiness, establishing it as a key player in both Brazilian and international defence sectors.

Founded in 2015, SIATT focuses on developing and integrating defence systems like missiles and advanced technology solutions. Over the years, it has formed strategic alliances with the Armed Forces and industry leaders. These collaborations have led to projects of national importance and the development of specialised expertise.
The new facility will create 200 direct jobs and 600 indirect opportunities. This development is expected to contribute significantly to the local economy while enhancing Brazil's technological autonomy in defence.
SIATT is known for its flagship programmes such as the Mansup anti-ship missile and its extended-range version, Mansup-ER. Other notable projects include the Max 1.2 AC anti-tank missile and the Blue Amazon Management System (SisGAAz), which focuses on coastal surveillance and maritime security.
EDGE Group’s Managing Director & CEO, Hamad Al Marar, attended the inauguration event along with senior leadership from EDGE. Brazilian authorities were also present, including São Paulo's Vice-Governor Felício Ramuth, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen of the Brazilian Navy, Marine Corps Commander Carlos Chagas, and Anderson Farias, Mayor of São José dos Campos.
Commitment to Technological Advancement
Hamad Al Marar stated: "EDGE is proud to stand alongside SIATT as we celebrate this milestone. This was our first investment in Brazil, back in 2023, and since then we have expanded significantly from a research and development plant to an impressive industrial plant. This reflects SIATT’s commitment to advancing Brazil’s technological autonomy and creating long-term value for its defence industry. Together, we are shaping a platform for innovation, economic growth, and trusted partnerships."
This expansion signifies SIATT’s dedication to fostering innovation within Brazil's defence sector while strengthening its position globally. The collaboration between EDGE Group and SIATT aims to drive economic growth through trusted partnerships.
