Sheraa Launches New Edition Of S3 Programme To Empower UAE Startups
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) is calling on early-stage startups in the UAE to apply for its Sharjah Startup Studio (S3) programme. This initiative aims to help founders expand their businesses by offering various benefits, including expert advice, funding opportunities, and software tools worth over AED 3 million. Applications are open until September 7, 2025, with 20 startups set to join a four-month intensive journey.
Participants will receive practical experience and tailored guidance while accessing Sheraa’s vast network of investors and strategic partners. The programme provides a comprehensive environment that helps startups develop growth strategies, create customised playbooks, and accelerate their scaling process. The focus sectors include EdTech, Sustainability, Advanced Manufacturing, and Creative Industries.

The S3 programme is built around three main pillars: Scaling, Supporting, and Securing. Under the Scaling pillar, startups gain access to Sheraa’s "Centers of Excellence" network. This network facilitates innovation-led economic growth in the region by helping founders strengthen operations and manage growth efficiently.
The Supporting pillar focuses on enhancing founders’ skills in investor relations and pitch preparation. It also aids in securing strategic investments for long-term growth. Meanwhile, the Securing pillar offers a roadmap for building robust business networks alongside workspace solutions and credits for essential services.
Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa, stated: "Sharjah Startup Studio S3 is a continuation of our commitment to backing entrepreneurs, equipping them with the tools, resources, and confidence to scale their businesses. Through this program, we support startups in advancing their current business models and expanding their operations to become key contributors to local, regional, and global economies."
S3 connects founders with seasoned entrepreneurs and industry leaders in an environment designed for collaboration. This exposure aligns products with market needs and accelerates sustainable growth. Recognising capital access as a major challenge for early-stage companies, S3 prioritises facilitating investor connections and providing strategic guidance.
Impact of Previous Cohorts
Previous cohorts have shown significant impact by successfully scaling operations and entering new markets through S3’s support ecosystem. The studio received over 2,300 applications for its 2024 cohort. This demand highlights its growing reputation as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship in Sharjah and the UAE.
Sheraa’s efforts reinforce Sharjah’s position as a leading hub for entrepreneurship on the global stage. By empowering founders through programmes like S3, Sheraa strengthens the UAE’s role in fostering innovation-driven economic development.
