Sheraa Highlights Sharjah’s Purpose-Driven Innovation At VivaTech 2025 In Paris
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) is set to showcase a selection of startups at VivaTech 2025 in Paris from 11–14 June. This event, part of the UAE's official delegation, highlights ventures in sustainability, manufacturing, EdTech, and the creative economy. Sheraa's founder-centred model aims to build a globally connected ecosystem rooted in Sharjah.
VivaTech 2025 is Europe's largest startup and technology event, attracting 165,000 attendees, including 13,500 startups, 3,500 exhibitors, and 3,200 investors. The Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2025 is also launched here. Despite growing regional competition, Sharjah maintains its #7 ranking in MENA due to Sheraa’s strategic approach.

Sheraa's Vice Chairperson Najla Al Midfa emphasised the importance of a clear vision and strategic alignment in maintaining Sharjah’s GSER ranking. She stated, "Maintaining Sharjah’s position in the GSER rankings reflects the strength of an ecosystem built on clear vision, strategic alignment, and an unwavering drive to empower founders." Sheraa supports founders throughout their journey by aligning government, academia, private sector, and capital.
Sheraa's participation at VivaTech aims to connect Sharjah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with global innovation networks. CEO Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi noted that VivaTech offers a platform for UAE-based startups to explore cross-border collaboration. She said, "Sheraa’s participation at VivaTech is a strategic step in connecting Sharjah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with global innovation networks."
Sheraa showcases startups aligned with its four Centres of Excellence: Sustainability, EdTech, Manufacturing, and Creative Industries. These ventures reflect Sheraa’s commitment to economic diversification and sustainable development. By focusing on high-impact sectors like EdTech and sustainability, Sheraa drives progress towards the UAE’s national vision.
