Sheikha Latifa Launches 17th Edition Of Art Dubai, Emphasizing Cultural Innovation

The 17th edition of Art Dubai, a leading international art fair, was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. This prestigious event, held at Madinat Jumeirah from March 1-3 with VIP previews on February 28 and 29, showcases over 120 galleries featuring contemporary, modern, and digital art. Art Dubai stands as a pivotal platform for cultural innovation, attracting artists and creatives globally to share their ideas and experiences.

Sheikha Latifa highlighted Art Dubai's significant role in presenting emerging artistic trends and fostering a creative ecosystem that connects local and international artists with cultural partners. The fair's focus on digital transformation aligns with Dubai's ambition to become a global art capital. Curated by Dr. Christianna Bonin, Art Dubai Modern delves into post-World War II cultural exchanges among the Soviet Union, Arab, African, and South Asian countries. Meanwhile, the Bawwaba section, themed around healing, features ten solo presentations of new artworks.

Art Dubai's comprehensive program also includes the 17th edition of the Global Art Forum, the Art Business Conference Dubai, and the first Digital Summit at Art Dubai. These initiatives support emerging artists and cultural leaders through Campus Art Dubai and the A.R.M. Holding Children's Program. The fair collaborates with government entities and businesses to present newly commissioned works by artists from various regions.
