Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Tours Pavilions At International Government Communication Forum 2024

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC), visited the 13th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024) at Expo Centre Sharjah. Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), the event is themed "Agile Governments... Innovative Communication" and gathers leaders and experts in government communication.

During his visit, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed explored various pavilions representing media organisations, government entities, and private sector companies. He was briefed on their contributions to the forum, including seminars, lectures, and workshops showcasing innovative methods to enhance global government communication.

The Deputy Ruler also launched the "Influencer Room" initiative by Sharjah Media City (Shams). This programme aims to support influencers' development through training workshops, integrating them into the social media landscape. The initiative targets young talents and creatives across various platforms to offer promotional services to companies and organisations.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed's tour included diverse activities and workshops highlighting best practices for effective government communication. These sessions provided insights into addressing future challenges and catered to a wide range of audiences.

The IGCF agenda focuses on five key themes: "The Impact of Government Communication on Economic Resilience," "Communication and Adventure Tourism to Boost the Tourism Economy," "The Role of Effective Communication in Attracting Talent as a Key National Asset," "The Future of Government Communication in a Virtual World," and "Communication and Multidimensional Personal Interaction."

The forum underscores innovative communication's role as governments worldwide adopt resilient governance concepts. This approach aims to drive innovation and explore future opportunities while addressing shared challenges globally.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi was joined by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council; along with several representatives from local, regional, and international media outlets.
