The Master’s student clinics consist of 12 specialised units offering orthodontic services. These clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art devices and technologies in orthodontics. Their primary aim is to teach Master’s students essential and advanced skills in patient care, diagnostic techniques, and clinical proficiency.

Sultan bin Ahmed inspected the Centre of Excellence for Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital. During his visit, it was noted that the centre had expanded with six new clinics, increasing its total capacity to 12 clinics. This expansion allows for comprehensive dental services to all demographics, including elderly patients and children.

The facility provides a wide range of treatment services such as oral and dental surgery, implants, fixed and removable prostheses, root canal treatment, fillings, orthodontics, and 3D x-rays. The centre has served 1,478 elderly patients enrolled in the Social Services Department’s program since its inception two years ago in collaboration with the University of Sharjah.

Sultan bin Ahmed also visited general dentistry and pediatric dentistry clinics at the hospital. He familiarised himself with the treatment services specifically tailored for children provided by these clinics.

The centre's staff includes faculty members from the College of Dentistry, comprising specialist doctors and consultants. This ensures that patients receive high-quality care across various dental disciplines.

The expansion has significantly enhanced the centre's ability to offer comprehensive dental services to a broader range of patients. The addition of new clinics has improved its capacity to serve more individuals effectively.

Since its collaboration with the University of Sharjah began two years ago, the centre has recorded a total of 8,421 visits from elderly patients under the Social Services Department’s program.

This initiative reflects a commitment to providing advanced educational opportunities for students while ensuring high-quality dental care for diverse patient groups.
