Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Honours Graduates Of National Defence And War Courses
H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, attended the graduation ceremony of the 11th National Defence Course cohort and the fifth War Course of the War College at the Joint Command and Staff College today.
H.H. Sheikh Nahyan congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their mission towards their nation. He urged them to use the skills and knowledge gained during the course to enhance the capabilities of their national institutions. H.H. emphasized that this academic institution symbolizes strategic intellectual maturity, aligning with the vision of the wise leadership.
H.H. praised the National Defense College (NDC) and War College for training Emirati military and civilian leaders to adapt to changing diplomatic, economic, informational, and military landscapes. Major General Salem Saeed bin Harmal Al Shamsi, Commander of the National Defence College, highlighted that their mandate is to prepare senior leaders in security, strategic, and operational fields through comprehensive multi-speciality education.
He added that both colleges strive to keep pace with developments in various fields and follow changes in the strategic environment. This approach helps develop educational programs that align with the directives and aspirations of UAE’s leadership to achieve their goals.
During the ceremony, H.H. presented certificates to graduates who successfully completed all academic requirements. A group photo was taken with the cohort. The event was attended by Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with senior commanders and officials.
