Dubai Ruler Forms Council To Spearhead Emirate's Future Development
In a significant move aimed at shaping the future of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his role as the Ruler of Dubai, Vice President, and Prime Minister, has officially established the "Dubai Council" through Decree No. (35) of 2024. This strategic initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering its global competitiveness and enhancing its status as a leading city worldwide.
Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the newly formed Dubai Council will be chaired by His Highness himself. The council's structure includes H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the First Vice Chairman and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the Second Vice Chairman, ensuring a robust leadership framework to guide Dubai's developmental agenda.

The council's composition is further enriched by the inclusion of prominent figures such as H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum; and H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Additionally, key members like Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, appointed as the Secretary-General of the Council, alongside Talal Humaid Belhoul, Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, and Helal Saeed Al Marri, will play pivotal roles in driving forward the council's objectives.
Effective from its date of issuance, this decree marks a new chapter in Dubai's ambitious journey towards innovation and excellence.
