Sheikh Mansour Reviews Achievements Of Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC), reviewed the key milestones of the Council and the Nafis Programme over the past three years to enhance participation of Emirati citizens in the private sector.

During his meeting with the ETCC team at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed was briefed on the latest developments and key initiatives being implemented by ETCC this year. By the end of July 2024, the number of citizens employed in the private sector had surpassed 113,000. Those who joined the private sector since the launch of Nafis Programme and are still working until the end of July 2024 reached 81,000.

The ETCC team also reviewed the financial and economic impact of the Nafis Programme and the paradigm shift it has brought about in changing concepts regarding citizens' work in the private sector. His Highness Sheikh Mansour commended the efforts of the ETCC over the previous period, the results it has achieved and the qualitative initiatives it has carried out to support and empower Emirati cadres in the private sector.

His Highness appreciated the cooperation between the ETCC and its partners from both government and private sectors. Their collaboration and commitment have significantly impacted Emiratisation efforts in the country. His Highness noted that intensifying efforts to increase citizens' working opportunities in private sector work systems is crucial.

For his part, Ghanam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of ETCC, valued President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support and diligent follow-up by His Highness Sheikh Mansour to achieve Council's goals. He stressed that Council seeks to implement wise leadership directives by qualifying, training, and employing citizens in private sectors.

He pointed out that Council's work team is keen on delivering more achievements and desired results that meet wise leadership aspirations in cooperation with strategic partners.

The meeting highlighted significant milestones achieved by ETCC over three years. The Nafis Programme has successfully increased Emirati participation in private sectors. By July 2024, over 113,000 citizens were employed privately. Of these, 81,000 joined since Nafis launched and remained employed till July 2024.
