Sharjah Taxi Engages With Global Leaders At UITP Summit To Enhance Public Transport Services
Sharjah Taxi, part of Sharjah Asset Management, took part in the UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Hamburg, Germany. The event focused on "Public Transport as a Driver of Urban Prosperity." Their participation aimed to keep abreast of global trends and explore smart technologies to improve service quality for the community.
The summit served as a global platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and specialists to exchange expertise and showcase innovations. It aimed at supporting cities in achieving sustainable development and improving mobility for all. The 2025 edition drew over 10,000 participants, including transport operators, government entities, and industry suppliers worldwide.

Khalid Al Kindi, General Manager of Sharjah Taxi, along with Mustafa Shalaby and Ifad Kabbani, reviewed global practices and innovations in public transport. They explored sustainable transport systems and digital solutions used in major smart cities worldwide. These experiences are leading advancements in transportation.
Al Kindi emphasized that participating in this summit is crucial for adopting innovative solutions to enhance Sharjah's transportation system. This aligns with the emirate's vision of improving life quality by ensuring comfort and safety for its residents.
Al Kindi stated: "Through our participation, we aim to learn from leading global experiences and connect with experts and decision-makers in the public transport sector, with the goal of developing future plans to provide advanced, sustainable, and environmentally friendly transport services."
During the summit, Al Kindi met Dr Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih from Saudi Arabia's General Transport Authority. They discussed successful experiences in both countries and explored collaboration opportunities to enhance regional integration in transportation.

The event featured over 400 exhibitors and around 340 speakers who discussed key issues and future trends. They shared experiences and highlighted best practices that contribute to strengthening public transport systems globally. This gathering aimed at promoting sustainable urban development worldwide.
The delegation from Sharjah Taxi also learned about digital transformation best practices. They focused on environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions as part of their commitment to enhancing public transport services.
