Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation Fulfils 35 Orphans Wishes In Sidra Of Wishes Initiative

The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation has started the year by granting the wishes of 35 children under the Orphans' Happiness Initiative, part of the Sidra of Wishes project, in a ceremony attended by Sheikha Jamila bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. Since launch, the project has delivered 3,934 wishes to eligible children.

The initiative is designed to support children who have lost their fathers by improving emotional stability, mental health and daily quality of life. It highlights the importance of human connection, as volunteers share happy moments with children and respond to simple personal aspirations, which supports healthier psychological and social development.

Sharjah SSEF fulfils 35 orphans wishes

The Sidra of Wishes project reflects the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation vision of creating genuine joy for orphans by going beyond basic material support to consider emotions, dreams and future hopes. The foundation links this emotional care with its broader strategic programmes that seek to empower children who have lost their fathers through stable, long-term support.

Within this framework, the Orphans' Happiness Initiative represents a focused effort to make personal wishes come true at the beginning of each year. The presence of Sheikha Jamila bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, and direct participation in handing over the wishes, is viewed as strengthening the humanitarian impact and demonstrating close attention to the children’s needs.

Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, expressed appreciation for Sheikha Jamila bint Mohammed Al Qasimi’s involvement and underlined ongoing cooperation with partners and community members to refine and expand such initiatives. Al Suwaidi stressed that bringing happiness to children who have lost their fathers is a shared societal duty that depends on collective compassion and solidarity.

The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation continues to implement humanitarian programmes under a comprehensive strategic vision that links practical assistance with emotional care. Through projects like Sidra of Wishes and the Orphans' Happiness Initiative, the foundation maintains its role in supporting psychological and social stability for children who have lost their fathers.
