Sharjah Highlights Investment Appeal And Sustainable Growth At AIM Congress

A delegation from Sharjah, UAE, recently made a significant appearance at the 13th edition of the AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi, underlining the emirate's dedication to fostering responsible investment and sustainable economic growth. This delegation comprised key representatives from the Sharjah FDI Office, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Sharjah Media City. The AIM Congress served as a crucial gathering point for public and private sector leaders to deliberate on the evolving investment landscape and its implications for global economic development.

Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, highlighted the department's proactive approach to participating in economic exhibitions and forums as a strategy to bolster the emirate's economy. He pointed out that their involvement in the AIM Congress aligns with SEDD's strategic objectives to attract and support investors. Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City, shed light on the emirate's appealing investment opportunities, particularly within its free zones, attributing this allure to its solid infrastructure and investor-friendly laws.

Sharjah's Investment Appeal at AIM

Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the AIM Congress's role as a key platform for promoting global cooperation and showcasing Sharjah's inviting investment climate and incentives. Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, CEO of Invest in Sharjah, stressed the importance of participating in international forums like the AIM Congress to stay abreast of new investment trends and enhance local market competitiveness.

The Sharjah delegation actively contributed to panel discussions during the Congress. Marwan Alichla, Director of Investment Promotion & Support at Invest in Sharjah, participated in a session on leveraging foreign direct investment for climate change mitigation. Meanwhile, Hamad Al Shamsi, Regional Investment Promotion Manager at the Sharjah FDI Office, discussed digital marketing strategies for attracting FDI.

The AIM Congress was a hub for over 12,000 participants from 175 countries, including more than 100 decision-makers. It offered an unparalleled opportunity for networking and exploring the latest trends in global investment.
