Sharjah Shopping Promotions Achieves Strong Turnout And AED 100,000 Grand Prizes
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has wrapped up the 2025–2026 Sharjah Shopping Promotions after 46 days of events across the emirate. The campaign, which started in early December 2025, drew strong public participation, supported retail sales, and boosted tourism indicators in Sharjah City and the Central and Eastern Regions.
The season closed with a major raffle draw at Sharjah Central, where ten winners shared a total grand prize of AED100,000. The closing ceremony brought together SCCI leadership, representatives of major shopping centres, and retail stakeholders, while residents and visitors from different nationalities filled the venue, reflecting broad interest in the winter promotions.

Commenting on the outcomes, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, said the retail industry remains central to Sharjah’s plans for economic diversification. He explained that recurring "Sharjah Shopping Promotions" seasons are one of the Chamber’s key tools to raise the sector’s share in the emirate’s GDP and support wider non-oil growth.
Al Awadi noted that Sharjah’s retail landscape includes thousands of commercial outlets and offers tens of thousands of employment opportunities. According to Al Awadi, the Sharjah Chamber applies an integrated approach that links trade activity with tourism promotion and backing for productive families and local farmers, which helps strengthen Sharjah’s status as a regional and international hub for investment and trade.
The 2025–2026 edition of Sharjah Shopping Promotions covered major malls and retail outlets throughout Sharjah City, as well as centres in the Central and Eastern Regions. Participating stores delivered discounts of up to 75 percent on local and international brands and distributed gifts, while an AED4 million prize pool was shared among more than 800 shoppers during the campaign period.
To clarify the campaign’s key numbers and reach, the main results can be summarised as follows:
| Sharjah Shopping Promotions indicator | Result |
|---|---|
| Campaign duration | 46 days |
| Prize pool value | AED4 million |
| Number of prize winners | Over 800 winners |
| Grand raffle prize | AED100,000 shared by 10 winners |
Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, reported that visitor turnout during Sharjah Shopping Promotions exceeded expectations. Shopping centres and malls recorded steady footfall for the full 46 days, with traffic peaking during weekends, helped by entertainment shows, live events, and regular prize draws that encouraged repeat visits.
Al Shamsi highlighted the contribution of public-sector partners in widening the campaign’s reach. Strategic cooperation with the Sharjah District Affairs Department and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) supported joint planning, extended promotional coverage into residential areas, and increased the overall economic impact on retailers, tourism operators, and related service providers.
Al Shamsi also stressed that the Chamber intends to keep offering attractive rewards to shoppers in future editions, noting how the latest Sharjah Shopping Promotions edition blended retail offers with family activities and cultural elements that maintain and celebrate Emirati heritage. This mix, according to Al Shamsi, helped attract diverse audience segments and encouraged longer stays in malls and shopping districts.
From a communications perspective, Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of the Corporate Communication Department at SCCI, said the 2025–2026 Sharjah Shopping Promotions season represented a qualitative improvement in how events were distributed across the emirate. Bouzanjal pointed out that activity levels rose in Sharjah City and in the Central and Eastern Regions, helping to balance benefits for different commercial zones.
Bouzanjal added that the organising team worked to broaden entertainment options to address various age groups and consumer preferences. The programme ranged from interactive shows and cultural presentations to family competitions, which gained positive feedback from both visitors and participating retailers. These efforts supported SCCI’s goal to enhance shopping experiences and maintain strong customer satisfaction while reinforcing Sharjah’s appeal as a shopping destination.
