Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, also Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the SEC, was present.

The SEC reviewed a report on the Social Data Portal project, initiated under the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. A presentation on the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers was also reviewed by the SEC. Approved by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, this programme aims to qualify job seekers across all regions of the emirate through specialised qualification programmes and field training in government entities.

The training programme spans several stages over two years, with each stage lasting six months—three months for qualification and three months for field training. Participants receive a monthly reward of AED6,000 during their training period.

The SEC approved forming a technical team for the Social Data Portal project. This team will include specialists from the Sharjah Social Services Department, the Sharjah Digital Department, and the General Secretariat of the SEC. The goal is to enhance readiness and ensure that objectives are met by linking relevant parties and facilitating data exchange.

The annual report of the Sharjah Noble Qu'ran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE) was also reviewed by the SEC. The report highlighted key achievements and activities in 2023 that support its strategic plan, including efforts to activate mosque roles and improve Quran memorisation levels.

Achievements in Quran Memorisation

According to the SNQSE report, there were 1,075 male and female Quran memorisation tutors distributed across 1,361 groups in various cities and regions within Sharjah. These groups included mosque groups, government initiative groups, and recitation groups attended by over 30,000 students.

The number of individuals who memorised the Quran through SNQSE's groups and private centres reached 856 in 2023. The establishment also organised initiatives like "My Vacation with the Quran" and collaborated with correctional facilities, associations for disabled persons, government nurseries, among others.

During its meeting, the SEC discussed general policies related to government work in Sharjah. They explored ways to develop these policies to keep pace with significant development across all societal segments and sectors within the emirate.

The council's discussions focused on enhancing government work policies to match Sharjah's comprehensive progress across various sectors. This approach aims to ensure that all societal segments benefit from these developments.

Overall, these initiatives reflect ongoing efforts by Sharjah's leadership to foster development across multiple sectors while ensuring social services are efficient and accessible.
