Sharjah Executive Council Enhances Government Talent With Jahiz Platform MoU
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the SEC meeting on Tuesday at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. The Council discussed various significant government-related issues aimed at fostering development in key sectors of Sharjah and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens and residents.
The Council reviewed amendments proposed by the Sharjah Consultative Council regarding the draft law for establishing and regulating the Rental Disputes Centre in Sharjah. These changes aim to improve the existing legal framework and incorporate valuable community input. The draft law will be submitted to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for final legislative approval.
An extensive report on career development initiatives within the Sharjah Human Resources Department was presented to the Council. The report covered progress made during the first half of 2024, highlighting training programmes designed to boost employee productivity across various sectors. These programmes are conducted in collaboration with government bodies and international training institutions.
The report revealed that 155 training programmes and 38 vital programmes were successfully implemented in the first half of 2024, benefiting 4,249 employees throughout Sharjah. These initiatives included specialised programmes tailored to meet government entities' needs, comprehensive training on HR regulations and systems, as well as the "Masar" project for new employee orientation, which benefited 563 employees.
The SEC approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah's Human Resources Department and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR). This MoU will enable them to utilise the "Jahiz" platform, a significant project aimed at enhancing government talents' preparedness and equipping them with future-ready skills.
The Council also discussed other important matters related to ongoing development in key sectors within Sharjah. These discussions are part of continuous efforts to improve living standards for both citizens and residents in the Emirate.
Overall, these initiatives reflect a strong commitment to fostering growth and development across various sectors in Sharjah, ensuring that both citizens and residents benefit from enhanced services and opportunities.
