Sharjah Ruler H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Chairs University Of Al Dhaid Board Meeting
H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, presided over the University of Al Dhaid's Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday. The meeting took place at the university's headquarters. During this session, the board approved the promotion of Dr. Aisha Ahmed Bu Shlaibi, Chancellor of the University, from Associate Professor to Professor, acknowledging her dedication to enhancing the university's educational standing in the country.
The board examined key reports from various committees, including financial, academic, internal audit and compliance, and Financial Resources Development. These reports highlighted their activities over the past period. Additionally, they assessed progress in teaching, research, and administration at the university.
Discussions also focused on partnerships with renowned international universities. The aim is to adopt superior educational practices in the specialisations offered by University of Al Dhaid. The board explored ways to enhance these offerings and considered plans for expanding university facilities.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures. Among them were Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Teneiji, Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock; Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority; Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Public Works; and Dr. Muhadditha Yahya Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority.
Other attendees included Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Dhaid Municipal Council; Sultan Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Madam Municipal Council; Dr. Peter McCaffery from Royal Agricultural University in Britain; and Dr. Salem Zayed Khalifa Al Tunaiji from Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah.
Additional participants were Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, former Chairman of Sharjah Education Council; Dr. Khalifa Musabah bin Yulk Al Ketbi from Al Madam Municipality; Dr. Saeed Hareb Dhahi Al Mansouri from Sharjah Police General Command; and Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Khasouni Al Ketbi from Ministry of Interior.
The meeting also included Dr. Khalfan Khamis Khalfan Al Razi Al Shamsi from Abu Dhabi Police College and Dr. Musabah Saeed Balajid Al Ketbi from Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work Board.
This gathering underscored a commitment to advancing education through strategic partnerships and facility enhancements at University of Al Dhaid.
