Sharjah's 34th Ramadan Festival Begins: Heritage And Shopping Extravaganza
The 34th edition of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, set to commence tomorrow (Friday) and extend until 13th April, promises to be a significant boost for the retail sector in Sharjah. Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), this 37-day event will span across all cities and regions within the emirate, drawing participation from key sector representatives, major commercial hubs, brand agents, productive families, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.
As a pivotal economic festival in the region, the Sharjah Ramadan Festival aims to offer both residents and visitors a unique blend of heritage-themed activities and immersive shopping experiences. Attendees can look forward to exciting draws, competitions, and valuable prizes. Furthermore, the festival will feature competitive offers and enticing discounts across various shopping centres, showcasing an extensive range of globally recognised retail outlets and brands, alongside diverse entertainment destinations within the emirate.

In line with the holy month's spirit, the festival will present shoppers with the opportunity to enjoy deals and offers from hundreds of brands across Sharjah's shopping centres. These offerings include a wide array of products and merchandise, along with gifts, with discounts reaching up to 75 percent. The festival is organised in collaboration with several local government entities, authorities, institutions, and with support from the managements of shopping centres, central markets, and retail outlets in Sharjah. Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, highlighted that the Sharjah Ramadan Festival has been a key initiative for over three decades. It plays a crucial role in bolstering the retail sector and nurturing various related economic sectors. Al Awadi emphasized that the festival fosters a vibrant festive ambiance that enhances social cohesion through its series of offerings and discounts.
Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing at SCCI and General Coordinator of the Festival, encouraged the emirate's community and visitors to actively engage in the event. He urged them to explore the offers and surprises at numerous participating malls and shops and to enjoy the event programmes set to unfold at the emirate's renowned tourist destinations throughout the festival duration.
