Sharjah Museums Authority Invites Young Explorers To Register For 2025 Summer Camps
Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) is inviting young adventurers to explore creativity and discovery through its 2025 Summer Camps. These camps will take place in five popular museums during July and August. The programmes aim to spark children's curiosity and creativity while offering enriching experiences. Camps run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and early registration is advised due to limited spots.
At the Sharjah Archaeology Museum, children aged 7 to 9 can delve into history with "My Ancestors’ Professions, Shaping My Future." This camp runs from July 14 to 17 and July 21 to 24. Participants will learn about ancient trades like farming, pottery making, hunting, and trading through hands-on activities and workshops.

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation offers a unique experience for children aged 10 to 12 with the programme "Creating with Our Own Hands" from July 14 to 24. This imaginative camp includes artistic workshops focusing on colours, mosaics, stone art, woodwork, weaving, and decorating traditional swords and daggers. Children will appreciate Islamic heritage while collaborating in teams.
For those interested in marine life, the Sharjah Aquarium provides an underwater journey for children aged 9 to 12 from July 28 to August 7. Led by marine experts, this camp offers insights into local fish, coral reefs, and rare marine creatures. The programme aims to raise awareness about marine biodiversity and ecosystem protection through interactive learning.
The Sharjah Science Museum caters to science-loving children with interactive workshops designed for different age groups. From July 28 to 31, children aged 7 to 9 can enjoy activities like Colour Factory, Melodies and Sounds, and Little Chef. From August 4 to 7, older children aged 10 to 12 can engage in space exploration, chemistry experiments, artificial intelligence activities, and perfume-making sessions.
The Sharjah Maritime Museum hosts "Maritime Adventures" from August 4 to 14 for children aged between 6 and 12 years old. This museum showcases over 670 artefacts tracing more than 7,000 years of maritime heritage. The camp explores UAE's seafaring past through marine exploration, historic trade routes, traditional boats, live fishing sessions, fishing tools education, traditional Emirati dishes sampling, and scented herbal candle creation.
