Sharjah Promotes Cultural Understanding with UAE Ministry

Key initiatives like "Government as an Incubator of Tolerance" and the "Pulse of Tolerance Award" were highlighted. These programs facilitate knowledge exchange and promote a culture of tolerance at individual, institutional, and societal levels.

Sharjah exemplifies how coexistence can be part of sustainable development. The emirate hosts diverse religious and cultural institutions, showcasing its commitment to openness. Initiatives like the collaboration between the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation and Vatican Museums highlight this dedication.

The presence of 10 churches in Sharjah further demonstrates its commitment to religious diversity. This reinforces its global reputation as a key advocate for tolerance and mutual respect.

Visionary Leadership

Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi stated that promoting tolerance reflects the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father. His principles of equality, respect, and openness continue to guide national development under current leadership.

"Our engagement with the Office of the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence reflects this vision," he said. He emphasized institutional collaboration's importance in embedding these values into practices that enhance social cohesion.

National Tolerance Programme

The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence implements the National Tolerance Programme. It collaborates with local and international institutions to use tolerance as a tool for development, peaceful coexistence, and social harmony.

Sharjah plays a crucial role in this journey by leveraging its rich cultural heritage to lead initiatives that foster dialogue. The emirate promotes coexistence values through various platforms.

This meeting underscores Sharjah's commitment to advancing human values through strategic partnerships. By aligning with national strategies, it continues to champion cultural understanding and social diversity on both local and global stages.
