Sharjah Maritime Academy Board Meeting Approves New Programmes And Student Graduations

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, led a meeting at the Sharjah Maritime Academy. The board approved the graduation of 23 students who completed their studies and training, earning bachelor's degrees. A new endowment building design was also sanctioned, with proceeds supporting the academy.

The board introduced a bachelor's degree in maritime business administration, expanding the academy's offerings. Additionally, they ratified an academic regulation manual and established a Strategic Planning Department to enhance international recognition. These initiatives aim to elevate academic standards and align with global advancements.

Dr. Hashim Abdullah bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Chancellor of the academy, presented a report on recent achievements in academics and administration. He highlighted ongoing strategic plan implementations and curriculum development efforts to ensure programme excellence. The focus remains on integrating advanced training activities alongside academic studies.

The board praised recent administrative and academic efforts, particularly in improving practical training for students. This focus is crucial for preparing graduates for successful maritime careers.
