Sharjah International Conference On AI & Linguistics To Examine AI's Influence On Language And Global Communication
The inaugural Sharjah International Conference on AI & Linguistics (SICAL) is set to occur from 17th to 18th October 2024. This event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, will be hosted by the American University of Sharjah in collaboration with the Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies.
With over 50 distinguished speakers and industry leaders, SICAL will delve into the significant influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on language and global communication. Notable participants include Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture; Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Egyptian Minister of Culture; Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, Former Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Ambassador Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE; and Imed Zitouni, Director of Engineering at Google.
