Sharjah Finance Department Introduces PayFlex System For Interest-Free Instalment Payments Of Government Fees

The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) has introduced the "PayFlex" system, coinciding with GITEX Global 2025. This new system enables customers to pay government service fees in instalments without incurring interest or extra charges. The initiative is part of Sharjah's digital transformation strategy, aiming to integrate innovation into financial services and advance digital payment solutions.

Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at SFD, highlighted that PayFlex aligns with the Department's strategic vision. She stated that it promotes smart financial transformation by offering user-centred payment systems that enhance convenience and improve quality of life. "At Sharjah Finance Department, we are dedicated to developing modern, flexible, and secure payment solutions that simplify the process of paying government service fees," she explained.

Sharjah Launches PayFlex for Government Fees

Al Yasi emphasised that this initiative supports Sharjah's goal of achieving financial inclusion through secure and innovative payment methods. The emirate aims to create a sustainable digital economy driven by innovation, efficiency, and collaboration between public and private sectors. By providing accessible payment options, PayFlex contributes significantly to this vision.

The PayFlex system allows payments for government services either electronically or over the counter. Customers can opt for monthly instalments over a period of up to six months. Instant approval is facilitated through the Tahseel platform, ensuring a seamless experience for users. This service is entirely free from interest charges.

By offering flexible and secure payment options, PayFlex represents a significant advancement in enhancing economic efficiency within Sharjah. It reduces payment pressures on individuals and organisations while improving the overall customer experience across government services in the Emirate. This initiative aims to ease financial burdens by making payments more manageable.
