Sharjah Expo Centre Signs Deal To Amplify Pakistani Universities At International Education Show 2024

Expo Centre Sharjah has formalised a partnership with Education Scenario International, based in Pakistan, to boost the involvement of Pakistani universities, colleges, and educational institutes in the upcoming International Education Show (IES) 2024. Organised by Expo Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), IES serves as a key platform for educational institutions and professionals to connect directly with students and parents.

The agreement was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ashraf, Advisor to Education Scenario International. The signing ceremony was attended by Sultan Mohammed Shattaf Al Amrani, Commercial Director of Expo Sharjah, along with other senior officials.

Boost for Pakistani Universities at IES 2024

Under this agreement, Education Scenario International will provide necessary support to Pakistan-based educational institutions to facilitate their participation in IES 2024. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa stated that the agreement aligns with Expo Sharjah’s strategy to strengthen international partnerships. This move underscores its commitment to expanding its event lineup and attracting more participants to its specialised international exhibitions, including educational shows.

Al Midfa highlighted Sharjah's status as a leading destination for exhibitions. He noted that the previous edition of the International Education Show saw participation from around 100 universities and educational institutions from both the UAE and worldwide. This year, the exhibition aims to extend its reach into the Pakistani market.

This expansion seeks to bring academic institutions together with students and parents under one roof. It facilitates the exploration of opportunities by providing students access to educational programmes and scholarships that align with their preferences. Additionally, it offers insights into admission requirements at top universities and highlights the most in-demand specialisations in the labour market.

Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ashraf remarked that Education Scenario International brings extensive experience in the Pakistani market, particularly in educational consulting and marketing. This expertise enhances its potential for successfully promoting the exhibition.

Future Prospects

Dr. Ashraf expressed confidence that the agreement will attract a substantial number of educational institutions to participate in IES 2024. He emphasised that this positions the show as a premier platform for fostering communication and collaboration among universities and educational institutions in the region.
