Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2025 Kicks Off Tomorrow With Global Leaders And Innovative Startups

The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2025 begins tomorrow, promising a dynamic two-day event focused on innovation and collaboration. The festival will feature over 300 speakers from 45 countries, 150 startup pods, and 320 investor meetings across ten zones and five stages. Attendees can participate in more than 250 activities, including workshops, masterclasses, and performances.

Organised by Sheraa, SEF is the largest event of its kind in the region. It will be held at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTIP) from 1-2 February 2025. The festival aims to connect the global ecosystem under the theme "Where We Belong," highlighting community impact and innovation spirit.

SEF 2025 will host influential figures like H.E. Alia Bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, UAE's Minister of State for Entrepreneurship; Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi of the Sharjah Art Foundation; HRH Princess Lamia Bint Majed Saud AlSaud; French footballer Thierry Henry; Dutch athlete Wim Hof; Ann Hiatt, former advisor to Jeff Bezos; and Mo Gawdat, ex-Chief Business Officer of Google X.

Sheraa CEO Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi expressed excitement about SEF 2025: "As our flagship event, and the largest entrepreneurial gathering in the region, SEF has always been more than a festival to Sheraa, as a reflection of the leadership of our Chairperson, Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, and belief in the potential of entrepreneurs to transform challenges into opportunities. The 'Investors Lounge' will facilitate over 320 personalised meetings for founders and startups with potential investors. A 'Startup Pitch Competition,' in partnership with 1Tank by 1trepreneur's founders' community, offers a prize pool of AED 200,000 plus an opportunity for an additional AED500,000 from investors.

SEF is renowned as a major celebration of culture and community in entrepreneurship. The 'SEF Souq' will display local artisans' work while 'SEF Eats' offers culinary experiences with famous F&B brands. Live performances include Canadian duo Music Travel Love, Egyptian artist Hamza Namira, and Kuwaiti rap group Sons of Yusuf.

Dedicated Zones for Collaboration

Several zones powered by leading regional organisations enhance SEF's collaborative environment. The Impact Zone by Arada serves as a hub for discussions and keynotes. Made in Sharjah celebrates local talent through partnerships with Shurooq, Bank of Sharjah, and SWBC.

The SEF Vault by Emarat provides exclusive networking for VIPs and government entities. Startup Town by du offers startups a platform to connect with investors. The Creative Zone by Invest Bank expands attendees' skills within creative industries while exploring business opportunities.

A new Wellness & Sustainability Zone by EMAAR highlights forward-thinking initiatives in entrepreneurship. These zones demonstrate SEF's dedication to fostering meaningful collaborations and addressing key aspects of entrepreneurial growth.

This year's festival expects over 12,000 entrepreneurial enthusiasts to gather in Sharjah. Entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and changemakers worldwide will converge here to exchange ideas.
