Sharjah Highlights Innovative Digital Initiatives At GITEX Global 2024 For Sustainable Development

During the first day of GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Sharjah Government Pavilion attracted dignitaries and international visitors. Thirteen government entities showcased cutting-edge technologies under the theme "Towards a Sustainable Digital Future." The pavilion highlighted advancements aimed at improving government services through innovative solutions.

The initiatives presented focus on enhancing digital services and quality of life by employing advanced technologies like virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and space technology. Sharjah aims to set a standard for smart, sustainable services, positioning itself as a leader in technology and innovation.

The Sharjah Digital Department introduced the "Cyber Resilience" project, a versatile solution designed to bolster cybersecurity in complex digital environments. This project uses artificial intelligence to swiftly analyse large data sets and identify potential cybersecurity threats before they become attacks.

The system automates tasks efficiently, providing a comprehensive overview of data correlations. This supports proactive and defensive strategies against emerging cyber threats, enhancing response capabilities for both businesses and government institutions.

Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, launched the "Smart Assistant for Sustainable Tourism." This tool uses conversational AI to improve sustainable tourism experiences in Sharjah. It is part of the second phase of the "Sharjah Sustainability" project.

The smart assistant offers easy access to a comprehensive database on sustainable tourism resources. It responds instantly and accurately to user inquiries, functioning as an advanced chatbot. Tourists can access detailed information about sustainable tourism in Sharjah through this initiative.

Media Content Innovation

Sharjah Media City "Shams" participated with its "Create with Shams" platform. This advanced platform utilises artificial intelligence technologies to enable users to produce professional media content efficiently. It relies on integrated graphics cards in computers to enhance processing power.

The integration of AI in content editing represents significant progress in media production. By leveraging deep learning and natural language processing technologies, it enhances creative processes and improves content quality significantly.
