Sharjah Chamber To Participate In MIDA 2025, Showcasing Emirati Craftsmanship In Florence

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is set to participate in the International Handicrafts Trade Fair (MIDA 2025) in Florence, Italy, from April 25 to May 1, 2025. MIDA is a globally recognised event for showcasing both traditional and modern handcrafted items.

Through the UAE Jewelry and Perfume Platform, SCCI will feature the "Emirati Goldsmiths" and "Emirates Perfumes" pavilions. This initiative aims to support Emirati entrepreneurs by highlighting their creative work on an international stage. The platform provides a venue for Emirati designers in jewelry and perfume sectors to showcase their innovations, gain global exposure, and expand their business reach.

Sharjah Chamber Joins MIDA 2025 in Florence

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, will lead the Sharjah delegation alongside Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of the Chairman and head of the Emirati Goldsmiths Platform. Six talented Emirati women designers will present their latest collections of perfumes and jewelry at MIDA 2025. This participation demonstrates the sector's growth while preserving Emirati heritage.

Al Owais emphasised that SCCI's involvement highlights its dedication to supporting national talent and fostering international cooperation. The aim is to connect Emirati entrepreneurs with global counterparts, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration in perfume and jewelry manufacturing.

Mona Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of regular participation in such global events. She noted that MIDA offers valuable opportunities for designers to stay updated on global trends and innovation within their fields. This consistent engagement helps designers remain competitive on an international level.

The exhibition agenda includes strategic meetings conducted by the Sharjah Chamber delegation. These meetings aim to enhance economic and business collaboration between Sharjah and Florence.
