The focus was on enhancing private sector communication, increasing investments, and organising business forums. These initiatives aim to foster partnerships, strengthen economic ties, and boost trade between the two nations.

During the meeting at SCCI headquarters, Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, met with Asem Mohamed Ababneh, Consul General of Jordan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Khalil HajjTawfiq, Chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC). Key officials from both sides attended this important gathering.

The discussions included activating a joint cooperation agreement between SCCI and ACC. They also focused on facilitating visits by economic delegations to enhance commercial relations. Encouraging investments and increasing Jordanian company participation in exhibitions at Expo Centre Sharjah were also key topics.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais warmly welcomed the Jordanian delegation, highlighting the strong strategic relations between the UAE and Jordan. He noted that these relations have seen remarkable growth, especially in the economic sector. The UAE is Jordan's largest international investor, with investments exceeding $4 billion by 2023.

Al Owais pointed out promising collaboration opportunities between UAE and Jordanian businesses following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in October 2024. He affirmed SCCI's commitment to working with the Amman Chamber to enhance trade and investment ties across various sectors.

The Jordanian delegation expressed gratitude to SCCI for its efforts in strengthening mutual relations and promoting investment in key sectors. They acknowledged Sharjah as a distinguished regional economic hub benefiting from ongoing holistic economic development.

SCCI supports events at Expo Centre Sharjah that span various economic sectors, attracting substantial regional and international engagement. These events are crucial for encouraging trade exchange and fostering new partnerships between entrepreneurs from both countries.

The meeting underscored the importance of private sector communication in boosting trade exchange. By organising networking events that bring together top entrepreneurs from both sides, they aim to forge new partnerships that will benefit both economies.

Both parties agreed on the need to increase participation in exhibitions held at Expo Centre Sharjah. These exhibitions play a vital role in showcasing opportunities for collaboration across different commercial sectors.

The discussions highlighted how strategic relations between the UAE and Jordan have developed over time. This growth is particularly evident in their economic interactions, which continue to expand through joint efforts like those discussed during this meeting.
