Sharjah Chamber And Czech-Italian Chamber Collaborate At Business Forum To Enhance Economic Cooperation
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently hosted a significant business meeting in collaboration with the Czech-Italian Chamber of Commerce (CICC). This event gathered senior representatives from leading companies and business leaders from Sharjah and various countries. The meeting underscores SCCI's dedication to enhancing economic cooperation with global business communities and private sector entities.
Held at SCCI's headquarters, the gathering was attended by Fatema Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of SCCI's International Relations Department, and Antonio Rotondo, Chairman of CICC. Officials from Sharjah’s government institutions and over 20 companies specializing in strategic sectors also participated. The event included one-on-one meetings focusing on partnerships, cooperation, and investment opportunities.

Fatima Khalifa Al Mokarrab welcomed attendees, reaffirming SCCI's commitment to fostering collaboration with major global companies. She emphasized the chamber's role in expanding economic connections between Sharjah's business community and international counterparts through forums and networking events. These platforms unlock investment opportunities and facilitate promising partnerships worldwide.
Al Mokarrab highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SCCI and CICC as a pivotal step leading to this forum. The agreement aims to build closer business ties, facilitate trade delegation exchanges, and showcase investment opportunities to major global businesses. She noted that Sharjah ranks as the fifth fastest-growing city globally for foreign direct investment, with investments reaching $2.75 billion.
A presentation during the meeting showcased Sharjah’s attractive investment environment. It highlighted the emirate's diversified economy and numerous opportunities across key strategic sectors. A short film displayed Sharjah's free zones, advanced facilities, infrastructure, incentives for investors, tourism assets, attractions, ongoing projects, and future plans.
Eng. Mohammed Bani Hamad from BEEAH Group presented the company's key projects and leadership in sustainability across the region. He outlined BEEAH Group’s initiatives in renewable energy, environmental technology, and consultancy services crucial to sustainable development.

Antonio Rotondo praised SCCI for organizing the forum as a true embodiment of growing collaboration between SCCI and CICC. He stated that the event aims to strengthen trade relations and foster economic cooperation among business communities in both countries and beyond.
