Sharjah Chamber Unveils Comprehensive Strategy For Economic Growth From 2025 To 2027

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has outlined its strategic roadmap for 2025–2027. This plan aims to enhance performance, operations, and service excellence. The strategy focuses on business sustainability, anticipating future trends, and boosting competitiveness. This was discussed during SCCI’s second board meeting for 2025, chaired by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais at the Chamber's headquarters.

Key figures such as Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, and Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi attended the meeting. Senior officials from various departments were also present. The gathering reviewed strategic plans to achieve the Chamber’s objectives for 2025–2027.

Sharjah Chamber Launches New Economic Strategy

The strategy aims to strengthen Sharjah’s economic landscape by promoting entrepreneurial excellence across commercial, industrial, professional, agricultural, and digital sectors. It emphasises delivering world-class services to enhance competitiveness and enable local enterprises to expand internationally. Unlocking new global trade opportunities is also a priority.

Supporting innovation and entrepreneurship is central to the strategy. It seeks to foster a growth-oriented business environment while enhancing economic and social sustainability. Investment-driven projects are encouraged to reinforce Sharjah’s economic framework and support sustainability initiatives for a viable economy.

The plan includes establishing a robust economic ecosystem by strengthening partnerships with local and global stakeholders. This approach aims to optimise economic value chains and attract high-value investments to Sharjah. The meeting highlighted key initiatives from the first half of 2024, focusing on ongoing projects.

Initiatives aim to enhance services provided by the Chamber and its subsidiaries while strengthening private sector competitiveness. Optimising institutional efficiency, fostering human capital development, and promoting Sharjah’s investment landscape are also priorities.

A commitment to realising His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's vision was expressed by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais. The strategy aims to enhance Sharjah’s economic standing by diversifying its production base and bolstering its investment climate.

The Chamber is dedicated to fostering high-value investments, advancing the digital economy, and contributing to infrastructure development as pillars for future growth. Sustaining service excellence for clients and supporting entrepreneurship are also prioritised.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi highlighted achievements from the second half of 2024 that align with performance benchmarks supporting Sharjah's status as a leading regional investment destination. Trade missions have successfully introduced members to new opportunities in Uganda and Kenya.

The Chamber organised numerous business meetings with official delegations to facilitate strategic partnerships between Sharjah’s private sector and global markets. Meetings with business groups explored future growth opportunities within the business ecosystem.

SCCI's board discussed plans supporting Sharjah’s vision of strengthening its global economic network through new partnerships. Facilitating international expansion of local enterprises is crucial for driving their success globally while attracting top talent worldwide.

The meeting also addressed efforts ensuring success for the Sharjah Ramadan Festival which boosts retail activity across UAE by attracting shoppers significantly increasing sales during this period.
