Sharjah Business Women Council Invites Female Startups To Showcase At Expand North Star 2025
The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) is offering a unique chance for innovative female tech entrepreneurs in the UAE. They are inviting applications from women-led startups based in the UAE to participate in Expand North Star 2025, scheduled in Dubai from 12th to 15th October. This initiative aims to showcase local talent on a global platform.
Selected startups will have the opportunity to exhibit their ventures at this international event. Eight founders will be chosen, providing them with access to a vast network of global investors, venture capitalists, and industry leaders. This exposure is expected to significantly boost their business prospects.

All sponsored startups will also be entered into the ‘Supernova Challenge,’ the largest startup pitch competition globally. This competition offers a prize pool of $214,000 in equity-free grants. The challenge provides an excellent platform for startups to present their ideas and gain recognition.
Maryam Bin Al Shaikh, Director of SBWC, expressed her enthusiasm about this initiative. She stated, "Beyond our comprehensive business ecosystem at SBWC, one of our core missions is to ensure that the pioneering women shaping the UAE’s economy have the opportunity to excel on the global stage." Her statement highlights SBWC's commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs.
The sponsorship includes a prime exhibition pod at Expand North Star 2025 for each selected startup. This guarantees visibility among thousands of attendees from over 100 countries. Additionally, automatic entry into the ‘Supernova Challenge’ allows participants to pitch live before an elite panel of judges.
The top award in this competition is $100,000, making it a lucrative opportunity for participating startups. The event serves as a gateway for female-led businesses to gain international exposure and potentially secure significant funding.
This initiative by SBWC not only supports the growth of its members but also positions them as future leaders driving innovation across the region. By participating in Expand North Star 2025, these entrepreneurs can showcase their potential on a global stage.
