Sharjah Award For Educational Excellence Winners Announced By SPEA

The Sharjah Private Education Authority announced the results of the 31st Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, highlighting strong engagement from schools, students and families. A total of 2,486 registered users accessed the award’s online portal and competed across multiple judging stages, with 50 winners named in the Outstanding Individuals and Outstanding Educational Institutions categories.

The award continues to promote high standards in education across Sharjah by recognising strong academic performance, effective teaching and active community participation. Entries reflected broad involvement from public and private providers, including nurseries, schools and specialised support institutions, reinforcing the role of structured recognition in strengthening quality within the emirate’s education sector.

Sharjah Award Winners Announced by SPEA

Within the Outstanding Educational Institutions category, the Outstanding Nursery Award went to the General Directorate of the Amiri Guard Nursery in first place, followed by Jumana Bint Abi Talib Nursery in second place. The Outstanding School Award went to Applied Technology Schools - Fujairah - Boys' School in first place, and Al-Tumooh School in second place, reflecting strong institutional performance.

The Outstanding Educational Support Institutions and Partnerships Award under the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence was presented to the International Protection Centre of the General Directorate of Drug Control, Dubai Police General Headquarters. This recognition highlighted the contribution of specialised agencies that support student welfare and safety, and their cooperation with education authorities in creating a secure learning environment for young people.

In the distinguished individuals segment, 39 students received the Outstanding Student award across Grades 3 to 12. In Grade 3, the winners were Hawa Sultana Abdulaziz, Afan Aleem Mohammed Aleem Akhtar and Sultan Abdullah Issa Ibrahim Al Mazmi. Grade 4 winners were Mohammed Mubashir Siddiqui Mubashir Ashraf Siddiqui, Sandy Hani Abdul Sattar Mohammed Tawfiq, Adwai Sumit Venugobalan Sumit Kizaki Nilanjali and Araf Davtwar.

Grade 5 honourees were Dhiyan Jithen Rajan, Hamda Bint Saeed Bin Mohammed Bin Ishaq Al Balushi and Noha Danish. Grade 6 winners were Hamda Ali Imran Al Mutawa Al Shurafa, Minsa Abdulaziz Konat, Hidayah Saleh Saeed Salem Saeed, Sharifa Mohammed Abdullah Yousef Al Hooti and Suha Ammar Al Suwaidan. Grade 7 recognised Areej Bint Samir Bin Yousef Ashmawy, Lamar Mohammed Adel Farouk Zaki and Shatha Fatima Siddiqui.

Grade 8 winners under the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence were Alia Al Sayed Al Shahat Abdul Shafi Abdul Halim, Satvik Sandeep Sandeep Kanuth, Bhakti Venkatesh Hegde, Vishnupraya Pillai and Lijin Vijaya Devan Pillai. Grade 9 saw awards for Enaya Danish Zaidi, Danish Naseem Zaidi, Jibril Paul Jugnheim, Khwahesh Punjabi, Prashant Anand Punjabi and Mohamed Elsayed Elshahat Abdelshafi Abdelhalim.

In Grade 10, the Outstanding Student list included Abdelkarim Esmat Essam Ghazal, Aisha Abdullah Saif Mohamed Al-Humaidi, Sarah Jassim Saeed Rashid Al-Suraidi, Sanvika Sandeep Sandeep Kanuth, Afshan Nawaz Khan Nawaz Khan and Prahan Prabhu Prabhu Manikam Natarajan. Grade 11 honourees were Maryam Younis Abdulrahman Mohamed Al-Feel, Khadija Luay Ibrahim Labad, Srihari Deebu Nair and Shatha Abdullatif Jaber Abdullatif Al-Jiyar.

Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence recognition of families and staff

The remaining Outstanding Student prize in Grade 12 went to Sainat Manikandan. In the Outstanding Student category for students with special needs, the recognised winners were Suleiman Khamis Suleiman Al-Khadim Al-Antali and Aisha Khalid Ali Thani Al-Shamsi, reflecting the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence focus on inclusive education and support for diverse learning needs.

The Outstanding Teacher category saw first place awarded to Dana Kamal Mohammed Abduljabbar, with second place going to Hanan Mahmoud Moussa Buwadi. The Outstanding Support Staff award went to Fatima Ismail Mohammed Al-Sarairah. In the Outstanding Parent Award, first place went to Vijaya Rohini Ravi Jayakumar, second place to Yasmin Marwan Zahra and third place to Moza Mubarak Obaid Ahmed Al-Zahmi.

Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence objectives and future ceremony

Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of SPEA, thanked everyone involved, and highlighted the role of judging panels and internal teams. Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi noted that the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence supports quality teaching practice and encourages distinction in both classrooms and the broader community, aligning with long-term education strategies in the emirate.

Ali Al Hosani, Director-General of SPEA, stated pride in the standard displayed by entries during this 31st cycle of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence. Ali Al Hosani said adherence to clear evaluation criteria showed that education providers focus on continuous improvement and a culture of excellence, reinforcing SPEA’s regulatory and developmental role.

Alia Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, confirmed that the initiative remains committed to backing outstanding contributors in the education sector and local community. According to Alia Al Hosani, resources are directed towards developing participants’ capabilities, strengthening their contributions and supporting them in meeting the award’s high benchmarks.

The winners of the 31st Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence are scheduled to receive their honours at an official ceremony on Sunday, 15 February 2026. The event will recognise individual and institutional efforts across categories, and underline SPEA’s continuing plans to highlight effective educational models and encourage sustained performance gains across Sharjah’s learning ecosystem.
