Sharjah Asset Management And Emirates Scholar Research Centre Discuss Strategic Cooperation For Sustainable Development
Sharjah Asset Management, the investment division of the Government of Sharjah, recently engaged in a meeting with the Emirates Scholar Research Centre. The focus was on exploring collaborative opportunities in scientific research and applied studies. This initiative aims to support Sharjah's vision of fostering a knowledge-based economy and applying its outcomes to sustainable economic growth.
The meeting was led by Omar Al Mulla, Chief Officer – Investment at Sharjah Asset Management. Khalid Al Kindi, Managing Director – Sharjah Taxi, was also present. The Emirates Scholar Research Center delegation included Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary-General, along with Board of Trustees members Dr. Youssef Al Ali and Ali Makki.

During discussions, both parties explored ways to activate partnerships in sustainable economy and investment. They aimed to enhance knowledge transfer between academic and economic institutions. Initiatives discussed were aligned with Sharjah’s vision to create an integrated development model based on science and innovation.
Omar Al Mulla highlighted that research partnerships are crucial for developing the emirate’s investment ecosystem. He stated that collaboration with the Emirates Researchers Center is part of Sharjah Asset Management’s strategy to build partnerships founded on research and innovation. This enhances investment decision-making and improves development project efficiency while bridging scientific research with the economic sector.
Dr. Fawaz Habbal emphasised scientific research as a vital tool for supporting decision-makers in the economic sector. It advances the UAE’s knowledge-based economy by providing scientific solutions that underpin investment and sustainable development in Sharjah.
Dr. Youssef Al Ali stressed that investing in scientific research and modern technologies drives growth significantly. He called for expanding applied partnerships between academic and investment institutions to promote innovation and knowledge-based decision-making.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue coordination for implementing pioneering initiatives in the coming phase. These efforts aim to strengthen the integration of knowledge and investment while fostering innovation and informed decision-making across the emirate.
