Sharjah Academy For Astronomy Explores Collaborative Opportunities With NASA To Enhance Research And Education

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST), part of the University of Sharjah, recently welcomed a delegation from NASA. The visit aimed to explore potential collaborations in scientific and academic fields, focusing on education, research exchanges, and student internships. This initiative seeks to enhance scientific skills and strengthen academic ties with NASA.

Prof. Yousef Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, highlighted the significance of this collaboration with NASA. Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, pointed out that this collaboration is crucial for advancing research programmes. The delegation was introduced to SAASST’s scientific departments and upcoming projects in astronomy and space sciences during their visit.
