Serdal International Introduces New Passenger And Vehicle Ferry Service In Comoros Islands
A new ferry service has been launched in the Comoros archipelago, East Africa. This service is unique as it also transports vehicles. The launch event took place on Anjouan island and was attended by Azali Assoumani, President of The Union of The Comoros, Jumaa Rashed Al Remeithi, UAE Ambassador to the Comoros, and other officials.
Serdal International, a joint venture between AD Ports Group and Resources Investment, introduced this service. Based in Abu Dhabi, Resources Investment focuses on strategic investments across various sectors in both emerging and established markets. This initiative aims to boost maritime trade and expand commercial operations in Africa.

The ferry service is managed by AD Ports Group’s Noatum Maritime. It aims to improve inter-island connectivity by offering safe and affordable transport options. This will enhance access to markets, healthcare, education, and tourism for the people of the Comoros.
The vessel Yameela will provide the ferry services. It can accommodate up to 190 passengers in air-conditioned comfort and carry up to 45 vehicles. The route connects Port of Moroni on Grande Comore with Mutsamudu on Anjouan island, ensuring a faster connection for residents and visitors.
