Second Early Childhood Development Fair 2024 Launches In Abu Dhabi With Engaging Activities For Families
The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Development Fair is set to return for its second edition, under the theme 'Curiosity Can Take You Places.' This event, part of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week, is supported by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It will take place from 31st October to 2nd November at Umm Al Emarat Park.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) and the National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD), this fair aims to provide families with a variety of educational and recreational activities. Over 50 interactive workshops, theatre performances, and storytelling sessions are planned to enhance children's cognitive and physical development.

This year's fair will feature workshops by partners like OliOli, offering innovative experiences for children. The Grand Prix workshop allows kids to design race cars, while Interactive Art provides hands-on art experiences. Warner Bros. Discovery will host storytelling sessions encouraging children to create their own stories.
Additionally, educational activities such as Explore Emirati Plants, Pearl Diving, Learning Arabic Calligraphy for Beginners, and Sadu Weaving will introduce children to local traditions. Special activities tailored for children of determination will focus on the Arabic language and Emirati culture.
Sana Mohamed Suhail, Director-General of the ECA, emphasised the importance of early childhood development as an investment in the future. "This Fair reflects our belief that investing in early childhood development is a direct investment in the future," she stated. The event aims to raise awareness about early education's role in sustainable community development.
She added that this year's edition focuses on enriching experiences that promote collaboration among families, educators, service providers, and investors. By fostering play and experiential learning, they aim to support children's social and emotional growth.
Strategic Goals and Partnerships
Dr. Meera Saeed Al Kaabi from NACD highlighted their commitment to making Abu Dhabi a leading hub for early childhood development. "We are deeply committed to positioning Abu Dhabi as a leading hub for early childhood development," she remarked. The fair serves as a platform to underscore the importance of qualified professionals in this sector.
The event also aims to instil cultural identity and national values in future generations. Through these efforts, strong foundations are being laid for achieving exceptional educational outcomes across Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The fair will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi. It promises an engaging experience for families while highlighting the significance of early childhood education in shaping future generations.
