Following directives from H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the SEC endorsed the first phase of the 'Middle Line Project'. This project involves extending a main water drainage line over 4.9 km with a depth of 20 m, costing approximately AED 400 million.

The project will include building two pumping stations in Al Soor and Al Ghubaiba areas. It also involves extending main connection lines to link existing networks to these stations. Additionally, 11 inspection rooms will be constructed to facilitate connections for 13 areas and five main roads.

The SEC decided to promote Fahd Ahmed Al Khamiri from Director of the Registration and Licensing Department to Director of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD). This decision reflects ongoing efforts to enhance leadership within key departments.

A decision was also made regarding real estate development projects regulation. This includes legal provisions ensuring all aspects are covered, notably establishing a bank guarantee account to protect rights. Implementation is set for 1st May 2025.

Formation of Medical Committee

The SEC established a Supreme Medical Committee for Retirement in Sharjah, led by Dr. Abdulaziz Saeed bin Butti Al Muhairi. Members include Dr. Saqr Abdullah Sultan Al Mualla, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Khamiri, Saeed Sultan Bin Khadem, Yousef Obaid Al Tunaiji, Nada Hassan Al Raisi, and Mahra Sultan Shattaf as Committee Rapporteur.

Industrial Sector Initiatives

The council approved extending a 50 percent discount on industrial licences for one year. This initiative supports significant growth in Sharjah's industrial sector, where licence issuance increased by 16 percent due to favourable investment conditions provided by the government.

This strategic move aims to further stimulate economic activity within the Emirate's industrial landscape by offering financial incentives that encourage business expansion and new investments.
