SCCI Enhances Economic Cooperation And Trade Partnerships With Guatemala For Future Investments
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is dedicated to boosting economic ties with Guatemala. This commitment spans both public and private sectors, aiming to create new partnerships and share expertise between Sharjah and Guatemala. These intentions were discussed during a meeting at SCCI's headquarters, where Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, welcomed a Guatemalan ministerial delegation.
The delegation included Gabriela García, Minister of Economy of Guatemala, and Jorge Archila, Ambassador of Guatemala to the UAE. The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of the International Relations Department at SCCI, along with senior executives from local companies and business groups in Sharjah.

During the discussions, both parties identified promising investment opportunities across various sectors such as economy, renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, and education. They emphasized the importance of participating in business forums and trade shows hosted by both countries to connect entrepreneurs from the UAE and Guatemala.
A key focus was on enhancing global business presence by exploring significant investment opportunities. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais highlighted that Sharjah offers an appealing investment environment with incentives that support business growth. This environment strengthens strategic partnerships between Sharjah and Guatemalan enterprises.
Al Owais noted the potential for collaboration in fields like manufacturing, logistics, and agricultural technology. He outlined the competitive advantages provided by Sharjah’s free zones for investors. Additionally, he pointed out opportunities within entrepreneurship and SMEs as vital components of both economies.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi reiterated SCCI's commitment to fostering collaboration with Guatemala’s private sector through its departments. He stated that this visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties between Sharjah’s private sector and global counterparts.

Gabriela García emphasized the significance of the meeting in exploring strategic frameworks for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the UAE and Guatemalan private sectors. She noted that both countries have strong economic relations offering competitive investment advantages for future partnerships.
