SCC Engages With Russian And Indian Delegations To Enhance International Cooperation

Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), recently hosted delegations from Russia and India at the council's headquarters. These meetings aimed to enhance international collaboration, broaden economic coordination, and facilitate global expertise exchange. Several council members were present during these discussions.

In one meeting, Dr. Al Nuaimi welcomed Dr. Hossam Azzam, Education Ambassador at the Academy of Financial Sciences under the Russian Government, and Anya Goryacheva, Coordinator of Russian–Emirati Economic Relations. The Russian delegation expressed gratitude for Dr. Al Nuaimi's efforts in fostering cooperation between Sharjah and Moscow, which aids in solidifying academic and economic partnerships.

The discussions highlighted the significance of sustainable educational relationships between UAE and Russian institutions. This collaboration aims to benefit students and researchers while enhancing Sharjah’s global knowledge role. Dr. Azzam invited Dr. Al Nuaimi to Moscow as a guest of honour at the International Financial Forum organised by the Financial University.

Dr. Al Nuaimi also met with Dr. Gulrez Sheikh, an expert in Indian strategic affairs visiting the UAE. Their conversation focused on strategic relations between the UAE and India, emphasising cultural understanding's role in regional stability and development.

During both meetings, Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the importance of such interactions in strengthening international relations and promoting cultural communication. He noted that SCC is committed to opening cooperation avenues with various regional and international bodies.

This commitment aligns with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's vision to position Sharjah as a hub for cultural enlightenment globally. The SCC aims to establish Sharjah as a centre for intellectual growth through these initiatives.

The meetings reflect ongoing efforts to build bridges across nations through education and strategic dialogue, reinforcing Sharjah’s position on the world stage as a leader in cultural exchange and knowledge sharing.
