Saudi Vision For Advanced Manufacturing Discussed By Vice Minister At Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition

Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs, participated in a panel at the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition. The discussion focused on Saudi Arabia's industrial transformation journey and how government policies support advanced manufacturing and investment growth. He highlighted the Kingdom's efforts to align its industrial ecosystem with Saudi Vision 2030.

Bin Salamah stressed the significance of international partnerships for knowledge transfer and technology localization. These collaborations are crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of Saudi Arabia's industrial sector. He reviewed initiatives under the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center, which aim to accelerate smart manufacturing across national facilities.

Saudi Vision for Advanced Manufacturing Discussed

The Vice Minister emphasized that industrial transformation is vital for developing a competitive and sustainable economy. This transformation is seen as an integrated national project based on strategic planning, investment in knowledge, legislation, and infrastructure. The ministry is restructuring the industrial ecosystem to boost productivity and prepare for next-generation technologies.

Enabling factories to adopt advanced digital solutions is central to the transformation agenda. Bin Salamah noted that the ministry is moving from incentivization to empowerment through new operating models and improved performance of service providers. A more transparent regulatory environment is also being established.

The Kingdom prioritizes measuring the economic impact of transformation initiatives. Investments are directed toward advanced industries and artificial intelligence. "The coming phase will see new regulatory updates designed to accelerate the sector’s transition to higher levels of advancement and sustainability," he said.

The session included insights from global industry leaders like Dr. Klaus Kleinfeld, former CEO of NEOM, Dr. Hyung-Hwan Joo, former Korean Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and Kyriakos Triantafyllidis from the World Economic Forum. They praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in building a modern industrial ecosystem focused on AI, smart factories, and integrated supply chains.
