Saudi Global Ports Surpasses 15 Million TEUs, Marking A Significant Development In Logistics Growth

SG Container Terminals a part of Global Ports Group, reached a notable achievement by handling over 15 million TEUs in total container throughput at King Abdulaziz Port Dammam since 2015. This milestone highlights the terminal's significant role in connecting Saudi industries to global markets.

The accomplishment was made possible through collaboration with the Saudi Ports Authority, Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, international shipping lines, and various long-term partners. This cooperation has been crucial in facilitating the terminal's operations and growth.

SGP operates the largest container terminal on Saudi Arabia's Eastern Coast at King Abdulaziz Port Dammam. With support from PSA International's global expertise, SGP has seen consistent growth in volumes handled each year. In 2024 alone, they managed to handle 3.2 million TEUs.

This achievement underscores SGP's ongoing growth path. It follows the successful award and integration of Multipurpose Terminals along the Eastern Coast in July 2025. These developments highlight SGP's dedication to enhancing Saudi Arabia's ports and logistics sector.
