New Coffee City Coming Up In Saudi Arabia, Ministry Invited Bids. How To Apply
The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has unveiled a plan to develop a coffee city in Qalwah Governorate, located in the Al-Baha Region.
This initiative aims to boost local coffee production by planting at least 300,000 coffee trees, in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives.
The designated area for this coffee city spans approximately 5,545,744 square meters. This project is part of a broader effort to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability within the region.
The ministry's initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the local economy by creating job opportunities and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The focus on increasing coffee tree numbers aligns with national goals to diversify the economy and reduce dependency on oil revenues.
Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 aims to transform various sectors of the economy, including agriculture. By establishing this coffee city, the ministry seeks to support these transformative goals through enhanced local production capabilities.
