Saudi Arabia To Host MEP And BEDIC Conferences In 2024 For Construction Sector Innovation

This year Saudi Arabia will host two significant events, the MEP International Conference 2024 and the first Building Envelope Design and Insulation Conference (BEDIC) 2024, on September 16-17, at the Jeddah Hilton. These events aim to transform the construction sector in line with Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) supports these co-located conferences alongside key industry stakeholders. The focus will be on sustainable and innovative solutions to enhance the region's construction landscape.

Focus on Sustainable Innovation

The MEP International Conference 2024, themed 'Pioneering Sustainable Innovation,’ will gather top experts to discuss the future of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sectors in Saudi Arabia. Prominent organizations like KAFD Development & Management Company, ROSHN, Red Sea Global, Rua Al Madinah Holding, CIOB, and CIBSE back this event.

Keynote speakers include Mohammed Asiri, Chairman of the Saudi Council of Engineers, and Khalid Abdullah Al Molhem, CEO of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). They will address critical topics such as sustainable energy solutions and smart building technologies.

Advancing Building Envelope Design

BEDIC 2024 will run concurrently with MEPIC 2024 and is dedicated to 'Advancing Building Envelope Design.’ This inaugural event focuses on building envelope design and insulation. MOMRAH supports it along with the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code and leading industry partners.

The conference will open with a keynote by HE Mohammed Al Mulhim, Deputy Minister for Licensing and Project Coordination at MOMRAH. It will feature insights from key figures involved in major projects like New Murabba, Rua Al Madinah, NEOM, and King Abdullah Financial District.

The agenda for BEDIC 2024 includes discussions on sustainable and energy-efficient building solutions aligned with Vision 2030. Experts will explore trends and technologies shaping future building designs in Saudi Arabia.
