Saud Bin Saqr Witnesses Signing Of Extension Agreement Between RAK Ports And Hutchison Port Holdings

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, recently attended the signing of an agreement extension between RAK Ports and Hutchison Port Holdings. This agreement ensures Hutchison will continue offering container terminal services at Saqr Port until 2037. Saqr Port is the largest bulk-handling port in the Middle East.

The collaboration between RAK Ports and Hutchison Ports aims to enhance connectivity with key Asian markets. This partnership strengthens Saqr Port's role as a strategic trade facilitator in the region. The port has already established direct container services with Mundra Port in India, a major trade hub on the subcontinent.

Roy Cummins, CEO of RAK Ports, and Andy Tsoi, Managing Director for Middle East and Africa at Hutchison Port Holdings, signed the agreement.
