Saqr Ghobash And Numan Kurtulmuş Discuss Enhancing Parliamentary Relations And Support For Palestine

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), recently met with Numan Kurtulmuş, President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. This meeting took place during the first Meeting of the Parliamentary Group in Solidarity with Palestine, held in Istanbul and organised by Türkiye's Grand National Assembly.

Ghobash expressed gratitude to Kurtulmuş for hosting this inaugural event and inviting the FNC to participate. He highlighted that the Palestinian issue is a key aspect of UAE's foreign policy. The UAE remains committed to supporting the legitimate rights of Palestinians and advancing efforts for regional peace and stability.

Kurtulmuş welcomed Ghobash and his delegation, noting that 12 parliaments participated in this initial gathering. He mentioned that future meetings are expected to involve more countries. The discussions also focused on enhancing parliamentary friendship and cooperation between the two nations. Both sides agreed on the importance of coordination and consultation on mutual interests. They expressed eagerness for active participation in parliamentary meetings to address global peace and security challenges effectively.

Several members from the FNC attended this significant meeting. The gathering aimed to lay a foundation for future collaborations among participating parliaments.
