SAIF Zone Showcases Competitive Advantages For Food Industry At SIAL Paris 2024
The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone) recently wrapped up its involvement in SIAL Paris 2024. This event, held in Paris, drew numerous exhibitors and visitors globally. As part of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) delegation, SAIF Zone aimed to attract foreign investments and encourage food sector companies to establish themselves in Sharjah, enhancing its status as a global food industry hub.
Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone, highlighted the event's significance for showcasing the free zone's competitive advantages. These include advanced infrastructure, strategic location, and various incentives for investors, particularly in the food sector. "SAIF Zone's advantages have become a key magnet attracting more leading international companies, particularly as the UAE continues to focus on developing the food and agriculture sector to boost its contribution to GDP by $10 billion," Al Mazrouei stated.

During SIAL Paris 2024, SAIF Zone presented its extensive growth opportunities. The free zone is positioned as an ideal destination for companies seeking prime investment environments. It highlighted plans to develop specialised industrial zones tailored to investors' needs within the food supply chain.
The UAE's food trade has seen a significant increase of 20% in the first half of 2024. This growth indicates rising investments in the food industry. Al Mazrouei noted that SAIF Zone's participation was aligned with supporting the UAE's National Food Security Strategy 2051 goals.
SAIF Zone emphasised its commitment to offering comprehensive investment incentives and facilities. These include logistics services and dedicated spaces for manufacturing and storage. "We're committed to providing a comprehensive package of investment incentives and attractive facilities. From logistics services to dedicated spaces for manufacturing and storage, we ensure that everything is in place for our partners to thrive," Al Mazrouei explained.
SIAL Paris 2024 celebrated its 60th anniversary as a major global food industry exhibition. It served as a platform for exchanging expertise and unveiling new innovations within the sector.
By participating in such events, SAIF Zone aims to support UAE’s efforts towards achieving food security while maintaining high-quality services that cater to the unique needs of the food industry. This approach helps investors succeed while positioning Sharjah prominently on the global stage.
