SAIF Zone Hosts High-Level Indian Delegation To Strengthen Investments In Gold And Jewellery Sector

The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) recently hosted a significant delegation from India, comprising over 60 representatives from top companies in the gold and jewellery sector. The visit aimed to showcase the free zone's advanced services and infrastructure, which cater to manufacturers and international investors in this industry.

During their visit, the delegation explored SAIF Zone’s integrated business ecosystem and logistics infrastructure. This setup provides seamless access to both regional and global markets for manufacturers and exporters. The visitors were welcomed by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone, along with other officials.

Indian Delegation Visits SAIF Zone for Investments

Al Mazrouei highlighted the investment incentives available at SAIF Zone, including competitive operating costs and easy market access across the Gulf, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He also discussed modern transport networks linking Sharjah to major seaports and airports, enhancing export operations.

The free zone offers state-of-the-art industrial facilities equipped with the latest technologies. These facilities include warehouses that simplify logistics and distribution services for global market exports. The director assured continued support for investors to ensure smooth business establishment.

The jewellery sector is a key focus for SAIF Zone, providing an ideal platform for growth within a flexible business environment. Al Mazrouei invited the delegation to invest in the free zone, emphasizing its commitment to fostering partnerships and improving trade relations between Sharjah and India.

He stated that "SAIF Zone will spare no effort to attract more global investments, foster partnerships, and improve trade relations between Sharjah and India in this rapidly growing sector." This statement underscores the zone's dedication to enhancing cooperation with Indian gold manufacturers.

Field Tour Highlights

To give the delegation firsthand experience of SAIF Zone's advantages in the gold industry, a field tour was organised at the Gold, Diamond & Commodities Park. This park hosts over 55 gold refineries and 250 companies involved in trading gold, platinum, silver, and titanium.

The visiting group praised the impressive development within SAIF Zone's business environment. They noted that it offers unique benefits for international manufacturers looking to establish operations there. The visit motivated them to consider setting up factories in this strategic location.
