SAEED Center Expands With New SRTIP Branch To Enhance Investment And Business Growth In Sharjah

The Sharjah Investors Services Center (SAEED) has inaugurated a new branch at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). This move is aimed at enhancing business setup processes and attracting more investment to solidify Sharjah's status as a global economic hub. The emirate experienced a 44% rise in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2024, prompting this expansion.

During the inauguration, key figures such as Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah, and Ahmed Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, were present. Other notable attendees included Hussain Al Mahmoudi from SRTI Park and Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh from Invest in Sharjah. Representatives from SAEED partners like Sheraa and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry also participated.

Hamad Al Shamsi, Manager of SAEED Center, highlighted that the new branch's location was chosen for its strategic advantages. Positioned between Sharjah International Airport, University City, and free zones, it offers easy access for entrepreneurs. This aligns with Sharjah’s broader economic goals by providing an environment conducive to business success.

Al Shamsi further commented on the importance of investor service centres in modern economies. He stated that these centres are crucial for entrepreneurs who need reliable market data to understand trends and identify opportunities. They also help connect businesses with relevant companies and government entities to support growth.

The event showcased SAEED’s achievements in 2024, where it supported over 100 entrepreneurs and facilitated the registration of more than 100 new companies. By adopting advanced technologies, the centre reduced transaction times by 25%, significantly improving administrative efficiency. This has built trust among business owners and investors.

The launch coincides with significant economic growth across various sectors in Sharjah. In 2024 alone, more than 1,600 companies were attracted to the emirate’s free zones from around the world. This surge underscores the increasing demand for specialised services that cater to entrepreneurs and businesses.

SAEED's journey reflects its commitment to fostering an environment where businesses can thrive. By offering aftercare services to over 2,500 investors and businesses, it continues to play a vital role in supporting Sharjah's economic development objectives.
