Ruler Of Fujairah Commemorates UAE Heroes At Wahat Al Karama Ceremony In Abu Dhabi

H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, attended the Commemoration Day ceremony at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi. The event was also graced by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes Affairs. This ceremony honoured the sacrifices made by the UAE’s heroes.

The ceremony featured a poignant moment when fighter jets flew in formation, creating the shape of the Unknown Soldier. This display paid tribute to those who have given their lives for the nation. The event was attended by various dignitaries and officials, highlighting its significance in recognising national sacrifices.

During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamad laid a wreath at the monument to honour the bravery of UAE’s heroes. Additionally, he presented the Martyr's Medal to four families whose loved ones sacrificed their lives for the country's safety and security. This gesture underscored the nation's gratitude towards its fallen heroes.

Among those present were H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.H. Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and several other esteemed members of the ruling family and government officials. Their presence highlighted the importance of this solemn occasion.

The event also saw attendance from Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Major General Staff Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Jordan.

Other notable attendees included Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Court; Sheikh Khalifa bin Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohamed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; and Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi. Their participation underscored unity in honouring those who served.

The ceremony was further attended by numerous Sheikhs, ministers, high-ranking officials, top military personnel, families of martyrs, diplomats accredited to the UAE, and other guests. This diverse gathering reflected a collective respect for those who have made ultimate sacrifices for their homeland.

This significant event at Wahat Al Karama served as a reminder of the courage displayed by UAE’s heroes. It brought together leaders from various sectors to pay homage to those who have ensured peace and security through their sacrifices.
