Rubu’ Qarn Foundation Launches Theatrical Creativity Award To Foster Youth Innovation

Under the theme "Partners in Making Creative Personality," the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators has unveiled the third edition of the "Theatrical Creativity Award." This initiative is designed to engage members from its affiliated institutions, including Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Capability Development – Tatweer. The award is open to individuals aged between 6 to 31 years, aiming to recognize and celebrate their theatrical creativity.

The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation's objective through this award is to encourage participants to explore and understand theatrical culture and self-awareness. It focuses on evaluating and enhancing their knowledge of theatre's significant role in fostering cultural consciousness. Moreover, the initiative is set to boost their imaginative capabilities, uncover their potential, and offer them a platform for free expression.

Participants from the foundation's institutions, encompassing children and adolescents, are given the chance to compete in four categories of the award. These categories are the theatrical viewing award, the theatrical reading award, the theatrical performance award, and the theatrical writing award. Each category comes with its own set of criteria that contestants must adhere to.

Details regarding the award will be disseminated through a series of introductory workshops. These sessions are scheduled to take place at the Rubu’ Qarn for Theatre and Performing Arts located in City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah, as well as at various centers belonging to institutions under the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation across the emirate.
